Natural Law

Natural law is the idea that there exists universal moral laws, discernible by reason, inherent in human nature and the world.  Many arguments for natural law depend on a belief in the existence of God.  Examples of widely accepted universal moral laws include the Golden Rule as well as prohibitions against murder, theft and lying.
